Cape Cod Visit and OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE

This past weekend we decided to do a last minute getaway... where else?? Well we went to Cape Cod (South Yarmouth). This was to be a new adventure to us since no one in my family had been there. We decided to stay at the Ocean Club @ Smugglers Beach. http://www.oceanclubonsmugglers.com/. These are small condominiums/hotel that have a great childrens activities program and an wonderful indoor heated pool surrounded by the beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. The rooms are a bit on the small side but we are a big family so for the average family of 4 will fit just right!! We were greeted with a smile and were provided a fantastic rate. Military rate is offered at a 10% discount. They even showed us where to pick up brouchers that provide local activities, rates and restaurants. The resort is also located close to several ammenites (McDonalds, putt putt, CVS & Walgreens, Shaws & morer ) the town has to offer and near to Hyannis,Ma which has a mall for those who prefer to shop at a mall and name brand restaurants. It was here that I saw they had an Outback Steakhouse.... yummmm. We had not visited an Outback since our move from Florida to Minnesota. Outback has always been one of my favorite places to eat at. Their bloomin onion for AUSSIE TIZERS is one of my favorites and their Alice Springs Chicken was my craving when I was pregnant. So we headed to this place because we didnt know of one near our home. We ofcourse did the call ahead seating and was ecstatic to avoid the wait there with our 4 girls. The hostess were prompt, the waitress was very attentive and overall we had a great time. Dinner was a bit on the long side but the manager made up for that in the end. Overall we had a good experience and were able to return to the room to enjoy the rest of our time on the beach. Now remember its 40 degrees so in my pictures you shall see us wearing gloves, hats and snow coats.. hilarious I know but that didnt stop my kids from enjoying every thing about it . We enjoyed the pool and then at night they had ADULT swim. For those parents who crave some alone time this was a perfect thing for us. My husband and I sneaked away for jacuzzi time which was FANTASTIC..!! All I can say.. is we will definitely be returning here!! We are planning a trip in May so we can take advantage of the whale watching tours, and hop on a nearby ferry to visit Martha's Vineyard.. yeah... will definitely be writing about all Martha's Vineyard has to offer. For now.. please feel encouraged to visit South Yarmouth.. its a beautiful place even in the winter!!

Family Fun

The new year has started to a wonderful start except the fact that for some reason I can not manage to meet anyone to befriend here. I know its hard because its the winter but it sure would be nice to have someone to do things with. I miss that more than one can say. I love my kiddos and I would trade my life for anything but inspite of it all, I still feel lonely. In the past month, we have ventured out and done bowling. Which Grace got to wear her first "official" bowling shoes. Let me tell ya, that little girl sure is competitive and at the age of 3 managed to beat us all at bowling.... She was soo excited but hey she did have bumpers and assistance.. heheeh.
We have continued to search for a church to call our own but its hard. Things here are different and I know that the Lord will guide us in the right direction. We are trying to plan a trip to visit my mom in April. Its been 8 years since I have seen her. I know that is crazy and stupid to be honest. We talk everyday and she knows everything that goes on in my life but I still miss having her with me. I vowed this year would be the year we got to see each other and gosh darn it somehow I will see her. I am blessed to have her as my mom and so thankful for all she does for me!!
Now that Valentine's Day is near, I recall my closest friends and family. My other half if you would like to say. Valentine's Day stands pretty much for the ones you love the most. Besides my family, my friends are my backbone in life. Without them here, its rough but I know they are always around when I need them. Tomorrow I am hoping to fulfill my plans for the girls and have them enjoy the day. Make sure they know how blessed I am to have them as my girls and how much I love them. Being a mother of 4 has taught me a lot about myself and on this holiday I like to make them feel appreciated!!!
Soon Spring shall arrive, and we can venture out to do some outdoor activities.. Those are the things I miss the most and so do they!! Lots of places to visit here in Boston .. so the list is being created!! Soon I shall post some pictures of all our activities and hopefully a video.. still new at that one!! Take care everyone!!
