Well we went to Cape Cod (South Yarmouth). This was to be a new adventure to us since no one in my family had been there. We decided to stay at the Ocean Club @ Smugglers Beach. http://www.oceanclubonsmugglers.com/. These are small condominiums/hotel that have a great childrens activities program and an wonderful indoor heated pool surrounded by the beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. The rooms are a bit on the small side but we are a big family so for the average family of 4 will fit just right!! We were greeted with a smile and were provided a fantastic rate. Military rate is offered at a 10% discount. They even showed us where to pick up brouchers that provide local activities, rates and restaurants. The resort is also located close to several ammenites (McDonalds, putt putt, CVS & Walgreens, Shaws & morer ) the town has to offer and near to Hyannis,Ma which has a mall for those who prefer to shop at a mall and name brand restaurants. It was here that I saw they had an Outback Steakhouse.... yummmm. We had not visited an Outback since our move from Florida to Minnesota. Outback has always been one of my favorite places to eat at. Their bloomin onion for AUSSIE TIZERS is one of my favorites and their Alice Springs Chicken was my craving when I was pregnant. So we headed to this place because we didnt know of one near our home. We ofcourse did the call ahead seating and was ecstatic to avoid the wait there with our 4 girls. The hostess were prompt, the waitress was very attentive and overall we had a great time. Dinner was a bit on the long side but the manager made up for that in the end. Overall we had a good experience and were able to return to the room to enjoy the rest of our time on the beach. Now remember its 40 degrees so in my pictures you shall see us wearing gloves, hats and snow coats.. hilarious I know but that didnt stop my kids from enjoying every thing about it . We enjoyed the pool and then at night they had ADULT swim. For those parents who crave some alone time this was a perfect thing for us. My husband and I sneaked away for jacuzzi time which was FANTASTIC..!! All I can say.. is we will definitely be returning here!! We are planning a trip in May so we can take advantage of the whale watching tours, and hop on a nearby ferry to visit Martha's Vineyard.. yeah... will definitely be writing about all Martha's Vineyard has to offer. For now.. please feel encouraged to visit South Yarmouth.. its a beautiful place even in the winter!!

Family Fun

The new year has started to a wonderful start except the fact that for some reason I can not manage to meet anyone to befriend here. I know its hard because its the winter but it sure would be nice to have someone to do things with. I miss that more than one can say. I love my kiddos and I would trade my life for anything but inspite of it all, I still feel lonely. In the past month, we have ventured out and done bowling. Which Grace got to wear her first "official" bowling shoes. Let me tell ya, that little girl sure is competitive and at the age of 3 managed to beat us all at bowling.... She was soo excited but hey she did have bumpers and assistance.. heheeh.
We have continued to search for a church to call our own but its hard. Things here are different and I know that the Lord will guide us in the right direction. We are trying to plan a trip to visit my mom in April. Its been 8 years since I have seen her. I know that is crazy and stupid to be honest. We talk everyday and she knows everything that goes on in my life but I still miss having her with me. I vowed this year would be the year we got to see each other and gosh darn it somehow I will see her. I am blessed to have her as my mom and so thankful for all she does for me!!
Now that Valentine's Day is near, I recall my closest friends and family. My other half if you would like to say. Valentine's Day stands pretty much for the ones you love the most. Besides my family, my friends are my backbone in life. Without them here, its rough but I know they are always around when I need them. Tomorrow I am hoping to fulfill my plans for the girls and have them enjoy the day. Make sure they know how blessed I am to have them as my girls and how much I love them. Being a mother of 4 has taught me a lot about myself and on this holiday I like to make them feel appreciated!!!
Soon Spring shall arrive, and we can venture out to do some outdoor activities.. Those are the things I miss the most and so do they!! Lots of places to visit here in Boston .. so the list is being created!! Soon I shall post some pictures of all our activities and hopefully a video.. still new at that one!! Take care everyone!!

Visit with our Oma and Opa!!

Our Opa loves to play games with us. Bryon has another fantastic opportunity and for those who know him its hard to pass them. We moved to Boston, Nov. 5th. What can I say besides there is A LOT of history here. I home was built about 100 years ago but its amazing to see all the details it still holds. The girls ofcourse are loving every minute of it. They recently started their new school. Before it was Alex and Tia together now its Bella and Alex together. They attend Green Meadow and Fowler. So far, they are loving every minute of it and have made some friends. I am home with the little miss who ofcourse loves the fact that she can boss me around the whole time. :) We have yet to make it into Boston to visit Bryon's restaurant but we hope to this weekend!! Despite the drama that sometimes can be overwelming, my girls are just so loving, and sweet. Im not saying boys are not fun as well, but after dealing with so many at work. I don't know if I have the patience to have 4 of them. Boys are definitely more active and get into so much more. Not saying all boys, but most boys. I saw this lady come in today with 5 boys and all I can think about is YEP Im done :)

Adriana has grown so fast and I can't believe she is potty trained and talks like she is 5 or 6 already. She is definitely her own person and can be what I call THE BOSS.. its her way or the highway for sure. Then we have Bella, my independent girl who doesn't mind playing alone, tends to be the one left out yet seeks the attention of most. She is goofy and wild but just loves to hug and snuggle. She loves her daddy so much and jus tloves to sneak into my bed early in the morning and sleep the last hour with him . He ofcourse loves it while I get pushed off the bed :).. Alex.. well she is the one everyone loves to have around. Happy go lucky, funny, easy going and overall an overachiever. She is good at all she does and if she isn't strives to be better.. Gotta love that persistence in her!! Victoria, my mini mama, can be moody ((age for sure), yet so sweet to her baby sister. She tends to lean on Alex for playtime and to boss around but loves to just relax with her sisters and watch a good ole movie. Victoria is a daddy's girl as well and looks up to him for approval which she always gets ..
Time sure has gone by me so quickly and I wish I could freeze it to enjoy these last few years of innoncence. I fear what is ahead but I pray with the lords guidance that we will get through it with a breeze!!
Thank you lord for my blessed life and my family!! I am truly blessed!!

Fourth of July

Fourth of July -- 2009

This would be the first Fourth of July without my older girls Victoria and Alex. Its weird and sad to say the least. I don't think I have missed a holiday with these girls since they were born. I just missed Victoria's 10th birthday day.. and that was hard but as time passes I seem to feel more empty without my girls. We did our best to keep busy this day and plan something fun for the other girls to enjoy. We didn't do our norm of popping our own fireworks but we did go over to some new friends of mine The Mechtels who have been very warm and welcoming to my family.

So we went over to the Mechtels actually their neighbors who pop their own fireworks (the illegal kind). Awesome show!! Didn't have a camera to take pics but great night. THank you to them and to their neighbors. Next year.. the show shall be at my house!!

Girls Leaving Today

Today is going to be a sad day for us but a great day for the girls. They are leaving to go with their grandparents up north to visit their great grandfather for the first time. They are sooo excited and Im sad. I will definitely miss the drama, smiles, hugs, kisses and just the overall presence of my girls. but they need time with their grandparents and vice versa. I hope and pray that they get all the memories I had as a child. We will meet up with them in a few days and get to meet Bryon's grandfather for the first time. First times are always fun and scary at the same time. Here goes nothing!! Bella is not too sure about being apart from me for 2 nights but I think she will be fine as soon as she is there!! I was skeptical because honestly I didn't know what to expect. At first things got off to a slow start but eventually it all turned for the better. We played scooter races, musical chairs, hula hoops, bounce house and even spent some time in the pool. Overall her party was a success. I can not believe she will turn 10 soon and soon enough a teenager. Time sure has passed us by too quickly!! TARGET

Wii Fit.... this is all I have been hearing about from my friends. So for months now, I have asked all those that I know to please hunt one down for me. Ofcourse, they are no where to be found so everyday I went into Target I asked the electronics guy. He ofcourse would say "shipments come on Monday and Tuesday mornings" HELPFUL right???? Well last Monday, I once again approached a gentlemen in electronics but this time I got a different response. He said, " Come the 20th we will have like 20 be here by 8am no later or they will all be gone ." From that moment on, I was on a mission!!! I turned to Bryon and said, " Baby, Im here at 6:30am because this things are hard to find and I want one ASAP!! "
Of course he agreed to stay home and watch the girls. He didn't have to get up after all so no biggie. So Sunday comes, and Im off !! I approach Target at exactly 6:30am and there was a nice couple waiting with their 2 toy dogs. Sweet couple from Georgia. They were there not for the Wii Fit but the actual Wii console. Not more than 30 mins later another lady arrives. She was from New Orleans on vacation yet she wanted teh Wii Fit!! :) We all chatted and came to the realization that it was almost 8 and we were the only fools waiting outside for almost an 1 1/2 hours. What were we thinking?? I could have atleast slept another 1 or so right??
So they open the doors, and we decided lets pretend we are here amongst 100's because we were once again the fools there early. So we walked like we were on a race to the opposite side of target to get the Wii Fit. We looked so funny pretending to race to the end against no others!! You had to be there to laugh as much as the employees did!!
Ofcourse there were like 25 Wii Fits so I decided to buy 4, the couple bought 2 and the other lady bought 2 as well. What were we thinking???
I manage to get to my car and go home. My neighbor calls, I tell her the story and off she goes to get some. Well she bought 8 and at 8:30am .. didn't have to wait or anything!! AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Well today I finally hooked it up and let me tell you!! It was worth every minute outside. What a workout!! I love it and it tells you your BMI, sets u on a plan and you can feel the burn!!
Its fun and the kids are atleast working out while they play!!

Well that was my Wii adventure.. hope you got a kick out of it!!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://rcruz6.blogspot.com/2008/07/wii-fit-target.html' title='Wii FIT... Today has been one of those days that I wonder when will school start again. I have 4 beautiful girls, that I love more than I can ever say,but they are going stir crazy. How can one entertain 4 children at once without spending a lot of money?? Go to the beach you might say, well thats an adventure when you have to carry all of the stuff to and from the car. Then there's setting up and by this point you have melted because its 100 degrees out there. Ok maybe the pool?? Well all I can say is everytime I get a chance to go, my youngest decides to POOP!!
